New $100 Bill

Here is a video I found about the new $100 Federal Reserve Note.  This note was said to start circulation in February 2011.  But this has been delayed because of problems with printing.

I think the only thing neat about the $100 bill is the color. It does stand out from any other dollar bill, but at the same time, it has a lot going on at once. When the lady was explaining if the bill was turned a certain way, then the blue part would move. I think that is too much just for a bill.

i think this a great redesign of the bill. with people being able to make counterfeit bills so easy know of days, a bill with this much color and other effects make it that much hared for someone to copy it. the only way to keep money safe is to just keep improving it so no one can steal it or copy it. great post

I agree with Ashley that the new note is busy and looks like a child created it. However, i do see the need for the additional protection, and I feel the overkill theory behind this will deter a lot of conterfieters.

I have no idea why they like to come out with new bills. Still worth the same, but i'm sure they're more expensive to print. It looks nice with all the color, but it's not needed. Although it will be harder to copy it, I personally think it's not a necessity.

Even thought i do think that a child designed it, i do understand its suppose to deter counterfeiters. Now i know where all our tax dollars go to, they go to workers who spend days designing money!

Wow! I had no idea the United States Mint would be printing a new style of one hundred dollar bills already. The colorful ink is a fraud deterrent, because it is supposed to be harder to reproduce than the plain shades of green from the past. This makes the money look foreign. Thanks for the post!
