Be a Consignor and stay in fashion

The consignment shop Plato’s Closet allows people in our community to trade their clothes for other clothes or even money. Trading your clothes instead of having to buy new clothes helps with the environment by recycling plus keeps your wardrobe updated with the lasted fashions. With the new idea of consignment shopping and stores opening our society will continue to grow creating less waste but most importantly more jobs. Below is a video on how most consignment shops work.

A very good post. I believe in hand-me-downs, consignment shops, Goodwill, Purple Heart and Ebay and see nothing wrong with selling gently worn clothing. I've been to Plato's closet, and the store is geared mostly to a younger generation and your things need to be rather trendy. So if your cleaning out your closet and have some stuff that is over 2-3 years old they will not want it as we have discovered. I find it easier to buy/sell on ebay. I have sold many of my designer brand suits and blouses over the past several months with great success. Nothing wrong with recycling gently worn clothing!

I think this is a great idea. I have never been here before but know people who have. It is a great way to recycle newer clothes for others.

I think this was a great idea to help out people with less money. I went there before to give my clothes away for money. They do not give you what the clothes are worth but it is for a good cause to help out people in hard times. With technology you can also do all of this on their website online it is faster and easier if you do not have time to go in person.

I visited Plato's Closet with my daughter. I did not find any items formyself because the store caters to a younger crowd. Yet, I love the concept, because it allows people that do not have the funds to buy designer clothes to have an opportunity to experience wearing designer clothes that have been taking care of.
